Build an app with a database
What you’re making: a working app that stores real records. The example here is a dashboard, but the steps fit anything.
1. Describe the app to your coding tool.
say: Build me a dashboard that tracks our weekly signups. I want to add entries by hand and see a chart. Use CloudGrid.
2. Ask for the database. If your tool didn’t add one already, ask.
say: Store the entries in a database.
3. Plug it in.
say: Plug this in.
4. Look at your data. Open your grid: the database is there, browsable, no separate tool.
5. Change and re-plug. Edit the app, plug again. Same URL, new version, and you can roll back.
What just happened
You described an app, and the grid provisioned what it needed the moment it went live. The database isn’t something you manage: it’s part of the app now, and you can see every record from your grid.
