Build an app that remembers
What you’re making: an app that keeps its state. Drafts that survive a refresh, a counter that keeps counting, each user’s settings still there tomorrow.
A database is for records you look at. For the app’s own state, small and fast, there’s a key-value store, and for files there’s a disk. Same idea: ask, and it’s there.
1. Build the app, and say what it should keep.
say: Build a writing pad where my draft is still there when I come back, on any device. Use CloudGrid.
2. Or add it to an app you already have.
say: Make this app keep each user’s settings between visits.
3. Plug it in.
say: Plug this in.
4. Test it. Close the tab, come back tomorrow, it’s still there. Close your laptop, still there, because the app runs on the grid, not on your machine.
What just happened
The app asked for a place to keep its state and got one. State lives with the app on the grid, so it survives refreshes, restarts, and new versions.
