Use your company's real data

What you’re making: an app connected to the systems your company already has, without inventing data and without opening security holes.

An app built on made-up data can’t actually be used. This is how it connects for real, safely.

1. Build the app as usual, and tell your tool what it needs to reach.

say: This dashboard should read from our internal orders API.

2. Add the connection as a secret. Never paste credentials into code or chat history.

say: I need to add the API address and token as secrets. Set that up.

3. Or use the vault: your company’s shared connections. This is the part that makes it work at company scale. Someone on your team, say a data engineer, adds an item to the org’s vault once: the BigQuery credentials, the warehouse connection, the internal API token. From then on, anyone with permission can use it in their app without ever seeing the credential itself.

say: Use the BigQuery credentials from our vault.

4. Plug it in.

say: Plug this in.

5. Control it from your grid. Admins see which apps use which connections, change a credential once and every app gets it, and cut access instantly if needed.

What just happened

The app connects to real systems, but no credential ever lived in the code or in anyone’s chat. The vault holds them, the grid injects them, and permissions decide who can use what.
